HELLO!
THis is me
Welcome to my website!
Maybe you saw me perform, heard about me from a friend, or stumbled across your timeline-welcome!
I am a professional Nigerian South African spoken word artist and poet currently living in Mohkinstsis.
I began writing at 15, performing at 21, published at 24 and had an exhibit at a gallery at 26.
I graduated from the University of Calgary and I fell in love with the arts community! I love to write, perform, collaborate, mentor, speak at events and more!
To diversify the face of poetry and spoken word in Calgary and in Canada! By connecting with others through my art and constantly learning about our creative landscape, I hope to grow, learn and create more!
My Goal:
My Poetry
My words are a way of processing my emotions and ultimately a hand reaching out to the people who read or hear it. In this world where it may feel like connection is hard to find, I want my word to become a bridge to understanding.
I have been lucky enough to have been influenced, inspired by and mentored by amazing poets such as World Poetry Champion Xabiso Villi, Puno Selesho, Wakefield Brewster, MelVeeX, Titilope Sonuga
The creative
community
The best part of discovering myself as an artist has been meeting people on my journey that I loved to collaborate with and help bring their visions and events to life!
The creative community is a driving force behind so much of the success we see in Calgary in every economical sector. From community events to creative problem solving, creativity and the arts is the foundation we keep building on everyday.
Be it branding, social media planning, producing, performing mentoring, and more… I will never stop creating and I would love the chance to create with you too!
