Being a part of Heather Hart’s artwork was surreal. The whole idea of “shouting from the rooftops” with my fellow Black poets was one of the most empowering performances I’ve ever given/ Being able to share my life with the audience while you are on on actual rooftop was a whole level of perspective I’ve never seen before.
It was a phenomenal experience and I’me so glad have been able to perform wth Wakefield Brewster and Tanecia Cromwell.
